Onsite Retreat with Enzo Terzano

The retreat

We invite you to a practice retreat led by authorized Santi Maha Sangha Base Level instructor, Enzo Terzano, from June 6 to 12, 2025, in Merigar East. This retreat will include guided Short, Medium, and Long Thuns, along with explanations.

Participation in certain sessions depends on prior transmissions. It is very important that you make sure that you fulfill the requirements before attending.

Note: The practice of each session will be combined with the Dance of the Song of the Vajra. People who don’t know Vajra Dance can apply Song of the Vajra.

Schedule

The first day only an afternoon session will be held, while the last day, only a morning session. Every full day there will be two sessions of two hours, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Donations

Upon registration to this retreat, we suggest a donation of 150 euro, to cover the cost for organizing this retreat. Your donations are vital for Merigar East’s survival. If you are unable to contribute this amount, you are welcome to donate as much as you can. Please also let us know if you would like to offer Karma Yoga during the retreat as a way to support the Gar.

Languages

The retreat will be held in English. If you do not understand English, upon registration, you can indicate your language and we will try to search for translation options. You can also help us by finding a volunteer translator for your language.

Accommodation

Upon registration, below, you can choose your option for accommodation. Check out the details about our facilities to see what best suits you. By staying with us, you can experience the retreat in an immersive manner, and dedicate your time to the practices. We are also 10 minutes from the sea, so you can relax and enjoy during the breaks. We offer accommodation in our dormitory (shared rooms) and in the camping. You can select these options below, the prices differ whether you are a paying member of the International Dzogchen Community or not. You can extend your stay for longer by contacting us.

Food

We are a community and everyone can take turns to contribute to the food preparation, cooking, shopping, assisting or doing the dishes. Nonetheless, everyone is free choose the options that best suit them and also eat on their own, if they wish. Our house has a large, well-equipped kitchen for you to use.

Requirements

(Restricted and open sessions) Those who have received the Initiation of Guru Gomadevi can practice the Long, Medium and Short Thun. In particular, those who have received the Initiation can visualize the Inner Mandala since they were introduced to it during the transmission of Initiation. This means that they have received the cause to mature the transmission of knowledge.
(Restricted and open sessions) Those who have received the root initiation of the Longsal Cycle can perform the practice of Long, Medium and Short Thun. In particular, those who have received the Initiation can visualize the Inner Mandala since they were introduced to it during the transmission of Initiation. This means that they have received the cause to mature the transmission of knowledge.
(Restricted and open sessions) Those who received the Direct Introduction linked to the Jnanadakini (Longsal Thugthig of Jnanadakini) can practice the three Thun and visualize the Inner Mandala since the Direct Introduction is exactly the Introduction to the real state of the Jnanadakini with all the characteristics and symbolic attributes which are included in the Inner Mandala. The Direct Introduction is valid even if received via Web Cast because the Master has assumed responsibility for this type of transmission of the Teaching.
(Open sessions) Those who received in person at the end of a retreat or even via Web Cast the Mantra of the Essence of Guru Gomadevi (Essential nine-syllable mantra of the Guru Wisdom Dakini Gomadevi) can practice only the Short Thun without visualizing the Inner Mandala of which they have not received the transmission, that is not contained in the simple Lung or Trilung with explanations on the method of visualizations, on the melody etc. of the mantra of Essence.
