Zoltán Cser

Zoli Cser started to practice in a Chan Community at the age of 16 in 1986 where he became monk later. He began his studies at the University of Economics, but moved to the newly founded Dharma Gate Buddhist College (DGBC) in 1991. Since 2004, at DGBC, he is teaching Buddhist ethics, basic meditation techniques, Buddhist liturgy and breathing methods, and started to organize and lead the Buddhist ceremonies. In 2003 he started to practice in the International Dzogchen Community under the guidance of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. In 2010 he became a Vajra Dance Instructor, later also a Yantra Yoga instructor and SMS Base instructor in the International Dzogchen Community. Between 2008–2016 he was the Vice-Rector at DGBC.

Zoltán is a highly appreciated instructor with excelling capacity over various areas of practice (Vajra Dance, Yantra Yoga and sitting practices), who has the capacity to engage students in intense practice schedules, maintaining good energy and thus helping practitioners progress. His retreats over the years in Merigar East have become a tradition, attracting practitioners from the whole area of Eastern Europe.
